1. Introduction

Welcome to swisscanonicacatering.com. These General Terms and Conditions govern the use of our website and the purchase of our catering services within the United Arab Emirates. By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Corporate Identity

This website is operated by SwissCanonica Catering Services LLC, a company duly registered and licensed in the UAE. Our mission is to deliver Swiss excellence and craftsmanship to the local UAE market, adhering to the highest international standards of hygiene and hospitality.

3. Services and Orders

  • Offer: SwissCanonica provides premium catering services for private, corporate, and institutional events.
  • Validation: An order is only considered confirmed upon receipt of a written confirmation (email) and, depending on the contract value, the payment of a required deposit.
  • Guest Count: Any modification to the final number of guests must be communicated at least 72 hours prior to the event date.


4. Pricing and Payment

  • Currency: All prices are quoted in United Arab Emirates Dirhams (AED).
  • Taxation: Prices are subject to 5% Value Added Tax (VAT) in accordance with UAE Federal Law.
  • Terms: Full payment must be settled according to the terms specified on the invoice. For new clients, full prepayment is generally required unless otherwise agreed.


5. Cancellation Policy

In the event of a cancellation by the client, the following charges shall apply:
  • More than 7 days prior: Full refund (minus any administrative or credit card processing fees).
  • Between 7 days and 48 hours prior: 50% of the total invoice amount will be charged.
  • Less than 48 hours prior: 100% of the total invoice amount will be charged.


6. Food Safety and Hygiene

SwissCanonica strictly adheres to the food safety regulations set by the Dubai Municipality (and/or relevant UAE authorities).
  • Liability: SwissCanonica declines all responsibility for food items kept by the client after the conclusion of the service (risk of cold chain breach).
  • Allergies: It is the client's responsibility to inform SwissCanonica of any food allergies or specific dietary requirements during the booking process.


7. Alcohol Policy

In compliance with UAE local laws and regulations, the service of alcoholic beverages is subject to specific licensing. SwissCanonica only operates within the legal framework provided by the relevant authorities of the specific Emirate where the event is held.

8. Force Majeure

SwissCanonica shall not be held liable for failure to perform its obligations due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather conditions (e.g., severe sandstorms), government restrictions, or public health emergencies.

9. Data Protection

Your personal data is processed with the utmost confidentiality, in line with our Privacy Policy and the UAE Federal Decree-Law on the Protection of Personal Data.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the Federal laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Dubai Courts.
